Seven medical universities our students and parents ask about most - with the facts checked, the sources linked, and the NMC rules explained before you pay anything.

For Parents

Choosing a Medical University Abroad for Your Child

Sending a son or daughter abroad for six years of medicine is one of the biggest decisions a family makes. You deserve to see where they will study and what the university really offers - not just a brochure.

Each profile below gives you the programme, duration, teaching language and the university's address, taken from the university's own website and public records. Every profile also links to the official website and to the World Directory of Medical Schools, so you can check every detail yourself.

Checked at the source

Facts come from each university's own website and public records - not from agent brochures.

No numbers we cannot back

No invented rankings, pass rates or "guaranteed seats". Current fees are shared in writing during counselling.

Verify it yourself

Every profile links to the official website and to the WHO-backed World Directory of Medical Schools.

NMC rules first

Before any application we check the programme against the NMC regulations for foreign medical graduates.

The NMC Checklist Every Parent Should Use

Under the NMC Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021, a degree from abroad leads to practice in India only if the course meets all of these conditions. We go through them with you for the exact university and intake.

01

NEET-UG qualified

The student must qualify NEET-UG before taking admission abroad.

02

54 months of study

The course must run for at least 54 months (four and a half years) of medical study.

03

12-month internship

An internship of at least 12 months must be done in the same foreign university.

04

Taught in English

The entire course must be taught in English.

05

Required subjects

The curriculum must cover the subjects listed in the NMC regulations, with clinical training.

06

Licence in that country

The graduate must be eligible to register and practise medicine in the country of study.

07

Same university

The whole course, training and internship must be done at that one university - no transfers in between.

08

Screening on return

In India the graduate must pass FMGE (to be replaced by NExT) and complete the internship the NMC prescribes.

FAQ

Questions Parents Ask Us

Admission depends on eligibility, university requirements and the applicable NMC regulations. Visa decisions are made by the relevant immigration authorities.
Yes. An Indian student must qualify NEET-UG to study medicine abroad and later practise in India. A university that tells you NEET is not needed is describing its own admission rule, not the Indian one - without a qualified NEET score the degree cannot lead to a licence in India.
The NMC does not approve or rank foreign universities, so treat any "NMC approved" label with caution. What the NMC sets is a list of conditions the course must meet - the Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021. We check each programme against those conditions with you before you apply.
The graduate must pass the screening examination conducted for foreign medical graduates (FMGE, to be replaced by NExT) and complete the internship required by the NMC before registering to practise in India.
Tuition, hostel and living costs change every intake and differ by programme. Rather than publish a number that may be out of date, we share the current fee structure, in writing, during counselling.
No. Admission depends on eligibility and the university's own requirements, and visa decisions are made by the immigration authorities. What we can do is make sure the application and documents are complete and correct.
No. These are the universities families ask us about most often. If you have another university in mind, we will help you check it against the same NMC conditions.
